Tugu Lombok Hotel

There are not enough complimentary words to do this resort justice. We are still in awe of the beauty, attention to detail, service and overall experience we had at Hotel Tugu Lombok. Absolutely amazing!

This hotel is outstanding. Its location near the Gili Islands is ideal, and the snorkeling right off the hotel’s beach is great. There are plenty of activities to enjoy on and off site as well, coordinated by the hotel, allowing for a relaxing and care-free holiday.The decor is both intriguing and beautiful. The restaurant offers a wide variety of tasty dishes, and the bar serves excellent cocktails with an impressive selection.The service is exceptional - driven by a dedicated staff who go above and beyond to provide warm, personalized attention.

This is a very special place in Lombok. The setting is spectacular but it is the facilities and staff that make it so exceptional. There isn’t anything to say except if you have the chance you should go. We did two hotel arranged trips with them and they were brilliant. Snorkelling and then the waterfall trip. Both with lovely people who cared about what they were doing. Everyone wanted to make our stay special and I am so grateful to have been there.

First class breakfast by one of their so nice swiming pools .After many times visiting Bali and Lombok , this is absolutely our favorite place .Food is excellent .Spa is gorgeous .The large private beach is great .The manager and staff are perfect , so efficient and kind .

This was a magical experience. A trip back in time set amongst antiquities from the Indonesian and Javanese times gone by.The staff were kind, giving, attentive and the GM Mr Faisal spent time sharing the story of Tugu, its history, the family and the construction. He was wonderful and very good at the helm of his staff of 105.

Our stay at Tugu was outstanding. The hotel has a very charming look and combines luxury with tradition super well. The service / staff could read your wishes without asking :D, they have been super helpful with all our wishes and they exceeded any expectations we had. The food was amazing, best food we had in Lombok - especially the traditional curries. The breakfast menu is better than buffet. The pools are super nice, and the bigger pool is great for swimming. The beach is large and there is enough room and space for everyone, you feel like you are alone. The hotel has a great reef for snorkeling, better than most diving sites, if you like corals and fishes. We booked some activities and they were all great, we had a nice driver who went the extra mile for our requests (Adri). The Spa is also highly recommended, the massages were amazing, so good that we almost went every day :D. Overall I can highly recommend this hotel, best hotel stay of my life so far and I have been in many places.

Charming rooms, beautiful grounds with lots of interesting art, excellent food - particularly the indonesian dishes but great burgers as well. Wonderful service - they really made us feel pampered. Nice beach. This is a place to come when you just need to get away from it all and relax.

It may be a bit remote from the action for some people. You can do day trips and the wonderful Lombok Wildlife Park is just 20 minutes away but be aware, there isn't anything else within walking distance.

If you are a light sleeper you need ear plugs due to the call for prayers for sunrise!

The property was stunning, next to a beautiful beach and with magnificent Indonesian artefacts throughout the extensive gardens, exuding a sense of tranquility.

Possibly I'd add some more local food options in the restaurant menu.

Stunning, magical, unique! Tugu Lombok is perfect! Location is on the spot, facilities are a splurge of good taste and food is absolutely delicious. The most important? Personnel! Amazing sympathy and interaction. Sorry all the others, nothing to complain, on the opposite, but Hadi was special! We won’t forget easily our holidays in Tugu Lombok!

Amazing location with greenery mixed with traditional and old style of buildings. Service at top level, food excellent, facilities perfect.

The bed was very comfortable. We also had an amazing bath.

It was a little tired. It needed some TLC.

The resort is one of a kind where you can recognize a refined architect careful research. Furnished with antique pieces of oriental and local taste. Very well cared for in the internal and external environments with a scenic restaurant overlooking a swimming pool and built on high pillars with mythical figures (very interesting to listen to their history). A very long white/golden beach well equipped and a turquoise sea that allows easy snorkelling (according to the tides). Huge room (mine was a standard room) and furnished with extreme taste. A king size bed with a canopy structure with a curtain that envelops it in the evening. Carefully prepared and good quality cuisine. The exquisitely courteous, polite and always smiling staff are always available to satisfy any needs and surrounds you in an atmosphere of cordiality as is in the nature of great hospitality of these people. It is worth to thank gardeners, cleaning, beach, restaurant and reception staff for their hard and meticulous work. A special thank to everyone and in particular to Russman a wise and kind gentleman, Tamam (the "Ok" man) Oka, Faisol, Anisa, Ardian and to all I unlikely do not know or remember the name. Possibility of having breakfast and dinner on the beach, in a setting of great effect. The SPA is very suggestive with good quality wellness treatments (excellent body scrub and facial treatment, it's a shame that in the relaxing atmosphere of the spa while listening to background music you can hear the noise of football game and the children screams).

A very sore point is the presence of many extremely noisy children and teenagers left without control to shout and make a racket by rude and arrogant parents on the edge of incivility. Enjoying is a healthy right for children as well as adults but it is an equally important duty not to disturb seniors and elder guests (first on the list are the Dutch).Unfortunately the staff has no authority over a clientele that does not know the rules of good manners and in any case the business does not require a certificate of good manners when booking. This type of "tourism" is not only a bad example of our culture but it also undermines respect for the country that hosts us.It is a place where you can appreciate the silence, the sound of the sea, not the cacophonous voices that ruin the magic of the idyllic atmosphere of this informal environment but which turns out to be a family resort given that the accommodation is mainly structured in big villas and bungalows. A luxury resort cannot be like a tourist villageThe last but not the least for those who are light sleepers, the muezin's prayer at 4 in the morning can be disturbing but earplugs are provided free of charge. Lombok like all the other Indonesian islands have a different religious faith from Bali and therefore it is a factor that must be considered. Despite the undisputed beauty of the place but above all of the resort, it may not be suitable for single travellers or couples who want peace and quiet due to the lack of respect for privacy caused by the type of clientele. Alternatively better choosing a period of stay when schools reopen in Europe.

Amazing hotel, beautiful location, such a relaxed vibe and super attentive staff. Room was spectacular and great for our family!! Cannot wait to be back!!
